Ripon Garden Club
The Ripon Garden Club was first created in 1954 with the goal of protecting native plants and insects, to encourage civic beauty, and further educate the community about the environment. We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit.

Memorial Rose Garden
The Ripon Garden Club, in partnership with the City of Ripon, have established a
Memorial Rose Garden in Mavis Stouffer Park in Ripon. We received a small grant from Plant America to assist with the foundation of the garden. Four beds are planted with 54 roses in shades of red, pink, orange, and multi-colored. The Memorial Rose Garden was developed in remembrance of one of our members whose favorite flower was the rose and, along the fence line, the Penny Lane rose is planted in her memory. Additionally, the GardenClub undertook the refresh of the existing Camellia Garden, originally planted 1988. Memorial benches are placed to encourage enjoyment
of the fragrance and beauty of the garden.

The Project
Over two years ago we started scouting of locations throughout Ripon for the garden. Mavis Stouffer Park was selected right in front of Stouffer Hall
as an additional for visitors and residents.
Working with Morris Nursery Landscape Designer, Jadwiga Hoffman, we developed a plan for the garden. The first step, create a foundation, and irrigation. In February 2025 the Camellia Garden is refreshed, fence built and arbor completed. March 2025 the roses are planted. April 2025 we will hold a dedication ceremony. We hope to see you there!
